Social Media Portfolio

Your office has a lot to offer. These are the strategies I use to ensure essential resources reach as many people as possible:

  1. Brief, Engaging Video Content

  2. Readable, Accessible Design

  3. Consistency and Collaboration

Brief, Engaging Video Content

I use scripted video content to explain dense topics (left and right) and to help viewers get to know the elected official and their team (middle). Quick cuts, on-screen text, and trends keep users engaged, and brand-consistent video captions demonstrate the office’s commitment to accessibility.

IMPACT SNAPSHOTS:

  • Videos outperform still images and slideshows by thousands of views.

  • On social media pages I manage:

    • Five video posts/collaborative reels have broken 10,000 views in the last month.

    • Ten video posts/collaborative reels have broken 5,000 views in the last month.

CONSISTENCY & COLLABORATION

Readable, Accessible Design

Large text in readable fonts, high contrast color schemes, and multiple link access methods make it easy for users to identify key information. I include alt text as metadata and within post captions per user request.

IMPACT SNAPSHOTS

  1. Multiple constituents have reached out to the 48th Ward office to thank us for our commitment to accessibility in our communications and meetings.

  2. 48th Ward content is often distributed by other offices and city departments for its clarity.
